The Meadows in Castle Rock saw significant improvement in their home values for the year ended 2021. Prices were up nearly 22% as weary buyers looking for affordable homes turned to the Castle Rock area. Average price was $620,600 at the end of the year up from $510,100 at the beginning of the year. While sales were down from 2020 with 485 homes selling in 2021 versus 536 homes in 2020. Homes in the community range in size from 1,198 square feet to around 6,200 sqaure feet (finished living area), with between 2 to 7 bedrooms and 2 to 6 bathrooms these homes represent a range of price points and age. The community has its roots in contemporary style homes from two-story to ranch/single story homes. The community began in early 2000s and building continues to this day.
Castle Rock’s The Meadows is ideally sited just west of Santa Fe Drive (US Hwy 85) with convenient access to points north and also just west of I-25 with easy access to points north into Meridian and the Denver Tech Center as well as locations south into the Tri-Lake area of Monument/Woodmoor/Palmer Lake and Colorado Springs. Castle Rock is a great bedroom community for both the southern Denver Metro area and the northern Colorado Springs Metro area. The community is accessed primarily from the circumvention of Meadows Boulevard/Parkway just off of Santa Fe Drive. The Meadows is home to builders Richmond American, Engle, Lennar, Oakwood, CalAtlantic, Capital Pacific, and more custom homes by Joyce and boutique builders such as Adamo. Castle Rock offers a slower pace and strong community rooted in its more rural, small town feel. From fairs and events in the old, Downtown Castle Rock area, to trails interspersed throughout the town, there is plenty to keep you occupied here without having to leave. The Meadows specifically offers trails for hiking, a community center and pool to amenities such as Castle Rock Adventist Hospital, a theater, small dining and cafe options. If you are looking for more options you need only travel a few minutes from home and you have shopping, dining, groceries and entertainment at the Castle Rock Outlet complex.
